Bertha will be remembered as a beloved and devoted presence in the lives of those who knew her—brave in spirit, compassionate in heart, and unfailingly kind. She carried herself with a warmth that drew people in, and her social nature made time with family and friends not only frequent, but meaningful. Even in ordinary moments, she offered steady care and genuine concern, leaving others feeling seen, welcomed, and valued.
At home, Bertha’s love was expressed through the comfort she created for others. She loved to cook, and she took special pride in hosting family gatherings where conversation, laughter, and togetherness could fill the room. She also enjoyed going shopping and eating at restaurants, finding joy in shared outings and simple pleasures. Her sense of humor brought lightness to many days, and her presence made time together feel easy and complete.
Bertha found peace in the routines that reflected her gentle spirit—taking walks at the park, watching her novelas, and tending to her roses with patient care. She also dearly loved her pets, and her affection for them was another reflection of the tenderness she carried into all parts of life.
Above all, Bertha loved her children and her grandson Jr., holding them close with a devotion that never wavered. Her love for her family was constant, and it will remain a lasting part of the legacy she leaves behind.
Bertha is survived by her life partner, Pablo Castro; her son, Albert Castro Barragan; and her daughter, Samantha Castro Barragan. She was preceded in death by her son, Jose Pablo Castro.
