It’s with sorrow that we announce that Jenny Bray passed peacefully surrounded by family on July 11, 2025. Jenny was born on November 22, 1950, to migrant farm workers. She was the seventh child out of 13. Jenny was a woman with immense strength, kindness, resilience and faith.
Working in the fields at an early age taught her strong values of hard work, family and perseverance. From a young age she worked in the fields alongside her family, helping to provide. Those early years taught her the value of sacrifice and shaped the steadfast character that defined her throughout her life. She would often tell her family the stories of the difficulty working in the fields from eating cold bean burritos with Fritos and a Pepsi for lunch, (that was her favorite!) to the long hours and strain on her body. As she got older, she Moved to southern California, where she meet Her first Husband Charles. They were married for 25 yrs and had 2 children together, Jennifer and Corina. She became an instant mother to Ray Claxton and Kim Claxton.
She was the heart of our family- a constant source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on the generations she raised, the lessons she taught, and the values she instilled. The amount of love she showed to her grandchildren and great grandchildren will be forever unmatched.
Jenny is survived by her Second husband Leonard, 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. With many adults and children, she adopted along the way. All the family will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Her life celebration will be held on July 24, 2025, between 9-11 am at Palm Memorial in Kerman. Where we will celebrate the beautiful life, she lived and the mark she left on all of us. Followed by a grave side service at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
