Lionel Vela Jr.

Lionel was a devoted family man, known for being a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Vela, and his daughters, Veronica Vela (Teejay Parker), Samantha Vela, Emily Ramirez (Jacob Ramirez), and Naomi Vela (Ryan Williams). Lionel also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Makayla, Zylah, Keanu, Jacob, and Mateo, as well as three sisters and numerous family members.

In his early life, Lionel pursued higher education and earned a bachelor's degree. He dedicated 30 years of his life to a career as a truck driver, showcasing his commitment and work ethic.

Lionel was preceded in death by his father, Lionel Vela Sr., and his mother, Maria Gonzalez Vela. His legacy of love and dedication to his family and career will be remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th, from 5 to 7 pm at Palm Memorial Kerman Chapel, 538 S. Madera Avenue, Kerman, CA. 93630. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7 pm at the chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th, 2025, at 10 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15437 W. Kearney Boulevard, in Kerman, CA.
