Maria De Jesus Ramirez

Maria de Jesus Delgado Ramirez, 83, of Mendota, CA died June 8, 2018 at her home in Mendota. She was born on June 10, 1934, in Mexico, to Pablo Delgado and Esperanza Verdin Delgado. She was a fulltime homemaker; she was a strong and resilient person. She was creative and an entrepreneur. She was a cook and also a farm laborer for many years. She was a caretaker of her husband until he died. She gave her children courage to succeed and get ahead. She raised her children to listen to their inner voice and not be pressured by what others said or did.

She is survived by three daughters and a step daughter; Maria Castillo and Ben Castillo, Beatrice Ramirez, Dulce Ramirez, and Lupe. She also leaves four grandchildren; Michael and Jose Garza and Eric and Lisa Castillo, as well as several friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Crispin O. Ramirez, and her daughters, Sally Ramirez and Daisy Ramirez. Her son, Eleazar Ramirez, unable to contain his loss, followed her a few days later.
