Martha A. Silva also known as Martie, 73, was born January 19, 1953, in Fresno, California, and passed away April 11, 2026. Martie resided in Kerman, California, and will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who knew her.
Martie’s life was marked by a steady devotion to home and family, expressed in the simple, meaningful ways that leave the greatest imprint. She found joy in camping, in traveling, and in taking drives to the coast—moments that reflected an appreciation for time well spent and places well loved. A dedicated gardener, she also took pride in nurturing what she planted, bringing patience and care to the everyday rhythms of life.
She was known as an amazing cook and, above all, as a gracious host who loved to gather others close, especially for the holidays. In her home, celebrations were not merely occasions on a calendar, but opportunities to welcome, to share, and to make others feel they belonged. Her loyalty and enthusiasm also shone through in her spirited support as the biggest fan of the San Francisco Forty Niners and San Francisco Giants.
For 20 years, Martie gave her time in faithful service as a church volunteer, offering quiet commitment and a generous presence to her community. Yet her greatest joy was always found with those she loved most—spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, who brought her particular pride and happiness.
Martie is survived by her husband, Antonio “Tony” Silva of 45 wonderful years; her son, Tomas A. Silva and his wife Jill and her son, David A. Silva, her parents Joe and Aurora Altamirano. She was preceded in death by her son, Antonio Silva.
Martie also leaves behind her 6 grandchildren, Trace, Tessa, Vaughn, Olivia, Taylor and Hannah.
Her memory will be carried forward in the lives she touched, the traditions she upheld, and the love she so freely gave.
