Roberto Lopez Contreras, 84, was born on June 8, 1941, in Mexico, and passed away on May 17, 2026. He will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was marked by steady devotion to those he loved, and his presence brought a sense of togetherness that made family feel like the center of everything.
Roberto was, above all, a man who treasured time with his family. He valued family gatherings and the simple, meaningful moments that come from being surrounded by those closest to you. Whether sharing conversation, welcoming loved ones in, or helping create the warmth of an occasion, he carried himself with a quiet dedication that reflected how deeply family mattered to him.
He also found joy in the pursuits that filled his days with purpose and pleasure. He enjoyed hunting and took pride in gardening, appreciating the patience and care it requires. Roberto loved to cook and bar-b-que, bringing people together through food and hospitality. He also enjoyed going to the casino, embracing the outing itself as another way to spend time and make memories.
Roberto is survived by his wife, Alicia J. Lopez of 57 years; his sisters, Socorro Lopez, Edelmera Lopez, and Catalina Lopez; and his brothers, Luis Lopez and Jesus Lopez. Roberto also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Palm Memorial - Kerman Chapel, 538 South Madera Avenue, Kerman, CA 93630, on June 8, 2026, at 4:00 pm. A Rosary at 6:30 pm.
Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15437 W Kearney Blvd, Kerman, CA 93630, on June 9, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Burial will take place at Golden Sunset Memorial Park, 310 S Goldenrod Ave, Kerman, CA 93630
Roberto will be dearly missed by all.
