Rosie will be remembered with deep respect and affection for the steady devotion she showed to those she loved and for the quiet, everyday joys she made meaningful. Her time with family was never treated as ordinary; it was where her heart most clearly lived—through shared visits, simple outings, and the comfort of being together.
She delighted in life’s familiar pleasures and the traditions that made a day feel complete. Rosie enjoyed shopping and taking trips, including visits to Casa de Fruta, and she carried a special fondness for going to the movies—especially horror films, with “Chucky” a favorite. At home, she found peace in tending to her rose garden, nurturing beauty with patience and care.
Rosie also had a distinct sense of style and pride in presentation. She took pleasure in matching her purse with her clothing and jewelry, and she enjoyed getting her hair done, she also had her cosmetology license—small rituals that reflected her attention to detail and the dignity with which she carried herself. She could also be counted on to enjoy a good laugh, and loved to watch I Love Lucy.
Rosie is survived by her daughter, Maria Flores; her son, Jose Gutierrez (Jennie); her grandchildren, Miretza Flores, Jose "JJ" Gutierrez, Angel Flores, Yvette Flores, and Hannah Saldana. And 6 great grandchildren.
