I have so many memories and stories of my darling daughter. Some happy, some funny, some sad, some beautiful, some spiritual... so many of which I can't handle to think about because it breaks my heart so deeply. However I feel so blessed, that the last time I saw her, she hugged me for a very long time. And she told me she was "proud of me" and that she "loved me soo much". And I said those things back to her, as well. But I wish I would have held her longer and told her more.

I only met Alex a few times, but in retrospect I had felt like we were lifelong friends. She had a way of filling the room with a welcoming atmosphere that made you feel like you had known her for your entire life. I am deeply saddened by her sudden and swift departure, her thirst for life was unparalleled and contagious like taking in a breath of fresh air. My condolences and heart goes out to the friends and family that were gifted with her light and company.

I miss you so much. Your gorgeous eyes. Your pirate smile. I just can’t believe I will never see you again. Knowing you brightened my world and this world will be dimmer without you here. I promise to love your children fiercely as you did and remember to dance with them as you did. Tell them stories about you and laugh with them freely. My heart is hurting, my mind refusing to accept this. You will never be forgotten little girl.

Alex,
I was blessed getting to know you because of, and through, people we both love. You have had so much love in your heart and soul to persist in the most difficult of times. You didn’t know this, but you have been an inspiration to me, and I’m sure to many others. May you go to your Joy with the comfort your children will always know you by being loved and cared for by those who love you.

I'm shocked and heartbroken. Our interactions were brief but you were such a sweetheart. I wish this weren't true

My highest healing wishes go out to Alex’s family and children. We were inseparable from 5th grade thru 8th grade. She was the one that brought me out of my shell and taught me you have to approach the world with a sense of humor or it will consume you. It broke my heart to learn about her passing. Merrie, Tim, and Sam: I wish you peace in this time. Please reach out if you need anything.

It doesn’t seem real to me my beautiful niece! You are loved more than you will ever know. I will miss you forever. One of my absolute favorite pictures of you, is from about 20ish years ago, in your yard with your sister, Jevon, Joram and MyKayla. You all were so little and you all just loved playing together. I watched you grow into a smart, loving and beautiful young woman, who loved your children fiercely. You were taken from us all much to soon. I’m glad I got to see you in February. Fly high and be forever free from any sorrows or troubles that are here. I love you Alex, to the moon and stars and beyond! 💜

I will forever miss Alex and the beautiful chalk murals she and her children drew on my sidewalk and driveway. There beauty made it impossible to walk over and I found my self always having to go out of my way to get to the gate. Her art and personality are some of the most beautyfull i have ever had the pleasure of sharing. Alex I love you and feel as if there is a part of goodness now missing from this earth
