Marilyn Louise Patterson, age 77, passed away on August 16, 2026, in Kimball, Nebraska. Cremation has been held, and following her wishes, no services will be held. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to share stories and condolences with the family. Memorials may be given in her memory to the Kimball Recycle Center. The services for Marilyn have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Marilyn Louise Patterson was born June 26, 1949, in Ord, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Roy and Hazel (Ayers) Leach. She grew up in Central Nebraska, attending country schools before graduating from Ansley High School. On February 11, 1967, she married Arlie Patterson in Broken Bow, Nebraska. They relocated to Kimball where they raised their family. She worked for many years at Patterson Hardware and Auto Parts and more recently working at the Sagebrush Restaurant and Lounge in Kimball. Marilyn was active in the community, including working with Kimball Public Works and the Visitors Committee. At the Sagebrush, she was fondly known as Grandma and loved being a member of the Crew, this was also a role she cherished. She loved spending time with family and cooking and baking for family gatherings. Marilyn will be remembered warmly by all who knew her.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Arlie Patterson of Kimball, NE; children Dawn (Kevin) Moeser of Kimball, NE., Rich (Kelli) Patterson of Kimball, NE., and Ryan (Rachel) Patterson of Bridgeport, NE; grandchildren Sarah (Aaron) Winters, Rachel (Matthew) Merryfield, Zayleena (Christopher) Plummer, Zeth Patterson and Emma Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clyde Leach and nephew Joshua Leach.
