Marvin Dennis Moench was born in Sidney, Nebraska on June 25, 1943, the son of John and Lorraine “Toots” (Nelson) Moench. He grew up in and around Potter. He was drafted into the US Army in 1966 and honorably discharged in 1968. Marvin spent most of his life in and around Potter and Kimball. For the last 12 years he enjoyed travel without an agenda to follow. Marvin loved words and reading voraciously and would spend many hours reading to his grandchildren, he also loved history. He had a photographic memory, which helped with all of the “Pick Up Lines.” He was a story teller who was quick witted and smooth talking, he was a larger than life kind of guy. He loved life, and enjoyed to laugh and travel.
Survivors include his wife Kay Moench; children Shannon (Dustin) Schwab of San Antonio, TX., Shawn (Tabitha) Biltginits of Lulling, TX., and Ken (Mary) Allison of Arlington, TX; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a brother Wesley J. Moench of Kimball, NE.
