Becky was born on May 3, 1955 to Dave and Freda Loose in Fort Morgan, CO where she grew up and lived for much of her adult life. Becky and husband J.R. dated through high school and were married on April 1, 1972. She was a dedicated homemaker and when their oldest son began school, she began to help J.R. with cattle and later began work as a salesclerk at the Brush Livestock Commission. Becky also enjoyed working the livestock sale each year at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. She later found an interest in healthcare and worked for many years with Dr. James Miller in Fort Morgan and Sterling Colorado. Becky and J.R. later acquired a feedlot in Potter, NE, where she managed the office while J.R. handled the care and feeding of cattle and buffalo.
Becky’s passions included ceramics, embroidery, gardening, and collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia. She loved baking, crafting, and decorating for the holidays and changing seasons. Becky was an animal lover, her horse Taxi and dog Lucy were among her favorites. Family traditions were very important to Becky. She cherished family meals, holiday gatherings, and many trips to Estes Park and Deadwood. Over the years she enjoyed traveling with her son Marty to rodeos and took a memorable trip to New York with her son Tommy. She and J.R. also shared many ventures including a trip to Canada to visit feedlot customers.
Becky is survived by her husband, J.R. Yearous; her sons, Marty Yearous of Potter NE. Tommy Yearous of Englewood, CO, and Tony Behrends and his wife Terry of Fort Morgan, CO. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Loose and his wife Denise of Dix, NE and her sister-in-law, Charlie Loose of Ft. Morgan CO. Her grandchildren include Cash Yearous and his wife Colby, Payton and her husband Blaine Dorn, and Molly Yearous. Her parents Dave and Freda Loose, sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Don Garner and brother John Loose preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Immanuel Evangelical Church, 318 W. 7th Ave. in Ft. Morgan, Colorado. Final resting place will be Serenity Falls Columbarium at Riverside Cemetery.
