My deepest condolences to Sylvia’s family. I was fortunate enough to be one of the many kids Sylvia cared for while my parents were at work. Grandma Sylvia and Papa Jr. I have many fond memories of growing up in Banner County, and many of them were spent in Papa Jr.’s and Grandma Sylvia’s home. The chickens, the peacocks, the Chevy Love out front, and the trips to Co-op in the green Oldsmobile. Then there was the food! Sylvia would let me “help” her in the kitchen, and I’m sure I was the biggest pain in the butt! But, she made the absolute best EVERYTHING.

I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Sylvia's passing. I have many wonderful memories of staying with her and Uncle Junior during the summers as a kid. They also stood in for my parents at my wedding with Uncle Junior giving me away and Aunt Sylvia helping with everything. Time goes by so fast and it is so hard to believe that all my Cross aunts and uncles are gone now.
