

Beulah Irene Conroy, age 91, of Kingsley, died on Saturday, November 29, 2009 at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.Beulah was born on July 29, 1918 in Kingsley, the daughter of John and Hazel (Woodman) Mox. In her younger years, Beulah worked at the Kingsley Post Office for 10 cents per hour. She was also a cook at Kingsley Schools and worked on the family farm. In January of 1941, Beulah was wed to William Sedlacek, who precedes her in death. In January of 1973, she wed John Conroy. Beulah was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church, attended Mayfield Chapel, and was a member of Kingsmen, Kingsley Senior Citizens, and Good Neighbors Club.Beulah is survived by her husband, John Conroy of Kingsley; children, Nancy (John) Kenyon of Harbor Springs, John (Melinda) Sedlacek of Kingsley, Janice (Victor) Rioux of Kingsley, Eileen (Terry “Red”) Bigelow of Fife Lake, Maureen (Robert) Nelson of Northport, and Irene (Leon) Hulett of Kingsley; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Irwin (Margaret) Mox of Traverse City, sister, Maxine Martinez of Kenosha Wis., sister-in-law, Jessie Martin of Copemish; and numerous nieces and nephews.Preceeding her in death are her parents; first husband, William in 1972; son, George in 1956; brother, Kenneth Mox; sister-in-law, Mildred; and both husbands extended family. Visitation will take place Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Dec.3,2009 at Covell Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Covell officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Kingsley.
