Christopher James Dine was born to Frank and Ellen Dine on July 12, 1971 in Michigan. As a young child, Chris was always described as happy and smiling. He loved to spend his time with his siblings, cousins and close family friends racing the streets of Kingsley, sometimes on his banana seat bike with his younger brother riding on the back and sometimes in his Chevy. As most kids do he tried to get into a little bit of trouble. When he tried, he was often caught, as he was not very good at getting away with shenanigans. Chris loved his time at Camp Roy-El, a camp for children with disabilities, which he attended every summer until the camp was closed.
Even though Chris was born with some setbacks he never let that stop him from doing the things he loved and making many lifelong friends where ever he found himself. Graduating from Kinglsey High School in 1990, he enjoyed his time in school as the manager of the high school Stag basketball team. Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in the outdoors with friends and family. He loved to play video games, starting in the early 80’s with an Atari set in the family room and continuing until his last days as he dominated on his Xbox in the online gaming community. He also fell in love with reading western novels, especially those of Louis L’Amour, and could always be found with a half-finished puzzle somewhere nearby. Chris was a lover of animals, riding horses and raising his beloved pup, Beavis. (We know with a name like Beavis he enjoyed silly comics as well.)
Chris was a happy, kind person that always had a certain twinkle in his eye. He was more likely to laugh than yell and had a beautiful genuine smile. He will be missed.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Frank Dine, grandparents Donald Dine, Ellanora (Baldwin) Dine, Edward Walker, Vinamae (Fraley) Walker and beloved great-grandparents James Baldwin and Florence (Voice) Baldwin.
Chris is survived his mother, Ellen Dine, his eight siblings, Frank Dine (spouse Kathy Telfor), Michelle Dine, Donald Dine (spouse Karla Weinrick), Robyn Dine, Shane Dine, Desirae Dine, Shanna Dine and Justin Dine (spouse Rebekah McClew). He is also survived by three nieces, two nephews, two great nieces, one great nephew and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
