Deanna Lee Miller
June 27, 1942 – September 25, 2018
Deanna Lee Miller, 76, of Traverse City, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Deanna was born June 27, 1942 in Buckley to Bernard and Sara (Cook) Wolf. On July 29, 1961 she married the love of her life, Bernard Peter Miller, who preceded her in death on March 7, 2007. Together they welcomed three children, Tony, Christine and Diahn. Bernard and Deanna raised their children in Eagle Harbor, where Bernard was stationed with the United State Coast Guard before moving to Traverse City in 1981. Deanna was a homemaker who loved spending time tending to her garden and yard, shopping and collecting trinkets and dolls. She usually was accompanied by her four loving dogs, Theodore, Lilly, Izzy and Bella. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Christine Miller and Diahn (Mike) Miller-Hess; her grandchildren, Angela Miller, Brandon Miller, Delaney Miller, Anthony Miller, Makennah Miller, Brittany (Scott) Musselman and J.R. Hess (Mariah Williams); one great-grandchild, Izzy Hess; her siblings, Marie Arsenault, Brian (Joann) Wolf and Jack (Marge) Wolf; sisters-in-law, Bridie Wolf and Velda Wolf; and many nieces and nephews. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tony (Anthony) Miller; her siblings, Paul Wolf, Donald Wolf and Stanley Wolf; and his wife, Dory Wolf. Her greatest gifts in life were her children and grandchildren, as she cherished every moment with them. Whether it was spoiling them or casually watching movies at the house, every moment will forever be treasured. We will all miss her comforting presence, but most of all her hugs, kisses and contagious smile. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Harbour Ridge, 3686 Matador W., Traverse City, MI 49684. Friends and family are welcome. Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Kingsley.

Deanna Lee Miller
October 5, 2018
Years ago, when I use to work at the movie theater, I loved to see you walk through the doors every week. You were there to catch one film or another, but you always took a moment before/after the movie for a quick chat and parting hug. I enjoy our almost weekly ritual and missed them when I stopped working for the theater. Whenever I saw you after that, you always told me you missed seeing me there. I miss that, too. Rest in peace my dear Aunt Deanna, I will always have such fond memories of you.
