LEWISBURG, Tenn. — Debra Michele Poston, 51, of Lewisburg, Tenn., died unexpectedly Saturday at her home. Born Aug. 26, 1959, in Trenton, N.J., Debra was the daughter of Arthur L. and Mary E. (Fink) Covell.
She moved to Michigan with her family at an early age and had resided in Coldwater, Jackson, Grand Rapids, Lansing, and 30 years in Traverse City before moving to Tennessee three years ago.
While living in Traverse City, she had worked as a dental assistant for several area dentists. She later owned and operated Specialized Cleaning Services. She had also worked for several years for Cox Distributing, NPI Telephone Co., and Quantum Networks. Her most recent work in Traverse City was the opening of the Labor Ready branch office. She grew the office for two years into one of the better performing offices in the state. She then was transferred to Nashville, Tenn., where she undertook the management of a larger Labor Ready office, and for the last six months was area sales rep for the Labor Ready Company.
Debra is survived by her parents, of Kingsley; her former husband, William Stebner, of Traverse City; and her husband, Ernest G. Poston, of Lewisburg, Tenn. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas Allen Stebner, of Grand Rapids, and Kenneth Craig Stebner, of Traverse City; one stepdaughter, Darcie Poston, of Traverse City; one stepson, D.C. Poston, of Lewisburg, Tenn.; two brothers, Douglas A. Covell, of Holmes Beach, Fla., and Dennis C. (Ann) Covell, of Kingsley; and three nephews, David E. Covell, of Los Angeles, Calif., Daniel A. (Natali) Covell, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Cassidy D. Covell, of Holmes Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Covell Funeral Home, Kingsley, with Pastor Paul Kulakov officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Barnum Cemetery, Mayfield.
Debra was a loving wife and mother, beloved daughter and sister, and a true friend to many.
