Jean and I had some great times together. She was a very giving person and gave me many things over the years. She gave me Lavender plants from her beautiful flower gardens; a gumball machine that was one of her father's- from his business; 6 crystal parfait glasses that she remembered from her childhood. She was very good at crafts and gave me handmade candles, a square glass block with Christmas lights and a bow. Jean was very organized and I was impulsive. I saw baby's breath growing along the road and called her when I got home. Of course, she wanted to go dig some up. She was waiting outside when I got to her house. Jean was an avid reader and the Kindle that she got for Christmas from her husband, Richard, was the greatest gift ever. The librarian at the Kaleva library helped her set it up and she had a list of books ready for her to read. She told me that she liked reading paper books best. Her reading list was diverse. That's the reason she was so well versed on nearly any subject. As I said, Jean was a very giving and thoughtful person. We went a lot of places together because she was always on the go and often would ask me if I wanted to go along. She drove me to the hospital when I had a cataract removed. She waited until I was out and I told her to stop at the restaurant in Bear Lake and I would buy her breakfast- being we were done about eleven. I really appreciated her. There are so many things we did together and I will never forget her. Thanks for the memories, Jean, and may God give you Heaven.
