Robert William Douglas
Robert W. Douglas, better known as Bob, passed away Wednesday Dec. 6 2017. As he entered into peace, he was surrounded by those who loved and cared for him. His close friends and family are confident he is in peace and playing dominoes and cards with great friends.
Bob was born Jan. 4, 1934. Though he never had a true trade, he was at heart a farmer. He loved to hunt, garden, and enjoyed the outdoors. In 1982, he moved in to the Morgan household, where he became a part of the family. His foster family, Joe and Jackie Morgan, cared for Bob for many years, and the Morgan children, now adults, recall many great memories with Bob. Those memories including driving Jack and Willis on the paper route, drink runs with Josette, shopping trips with Monique, hauling wood with Joe, and probably the best: Casino trips with Jackie.
All would agree that Bob was a character that was unique and you could always call on for help.
Bob was survived by foster family: Joe Morgan, Josette (Bill) Hoch, Monique (Chip) Nickerson, Willis Morgan, Jack (Brandi) Morgan and their families. Bob was preceded in death by both his parents and his good friend and Foster family, Jackie Morgan. The Morgan family will always remember Bob as family and he holds a special place in their hearts.
