

Theodore “Ted” Weber, age 76, of Kingsley passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Munson Medical Center with his family at his side. He was born June 15, 1937 in Hannah to Joseph Carl and Norine Elizabeth (Michele) Weber.
Ted married Cecilia K. Stefaniak at St Francis Catholic Church in Traverse City on August 18, 1962. Together they raised 3 children. Ted was a farmer all his life, and although he held several jobs, farming was always his main passion. When he wasn’t working the farm, he worked road construction for Walton, Schworms, and Elmers. He retired from Tower Automotive, but Ted never retired from farming.
Ted was a member of St. Mary Hannah Catholic Church where he was an usher at the 11 am mass. Ted was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.
Ted will be greatly missed by his wife Cecilia, daughters: Lisa (Scott) Bishop of Traverse City and Jennifer Weber of Kingsley; 6 grandchildren: Travis, Kevin, Andrew, Christopher, Brandon, and Dustin, a great granddaughter McKenzie; siblings: Gordon (Theresa), Kneale (Diane), Leo (Karen), Wally (Dottie), Shirley (Jerry) Ankerson, and Marge Peplinski; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Ted was preceded in death by a son Steven Weber; Siblings: LaVern Weber, Art Weber, Larry Weber, and Dorothy Reamer.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley, with a scripture service at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10 at St. Mary Hannah Catholic Church with visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will take place at St. Mary Hannah Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions in Ted’s name may be directed to the Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley.
