Alec Dean, age 21 months of Kingsport, was taken up in the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Alec was born on August 17, 2017 in Johnson City, TN. Even though his time on earth was short, he made many memories that his family will have for a lifetime.

Alec was a happy and energetic little boy who enjoyed playing and dancing with his brother and sister. Alec loved riding the tractor with his “Doo-Dad”. Alec was a loving child and when he smiled, he would not just smile with his mouth, he would smile with his eyes and his whole face.

Alec is survived by his mother, Ashley Powers and her boyfriend, Jacob Lopez; brother, Brody; sister, Rhegan; grandparents, Bill and Alice Lovell, and Ray and Janet Vance; and numerous other loving family members.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. There will be a service for Alec at 2:00 pm following the visitation with Brother David Dotson officiating. Alec will be laid to rest at 3:00 pm immediately following the service at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Vance, Bill Lovell, Jacob Lopez, and Justin Lovell.

Biography

Alec Dean was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Alec will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
