Alyce Marie Blackburn

Alyce Marie Blackburn, age 90 entered into rest May 6, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center. She was a native of Livingston, TN. and had lived in Kingsport since 1940. Marie was the daughter of the late John Horace and Hazel Kate Thrasher Keisling. She was formerly employed with Mason-Dixon Trucking. Marie was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and the National Hikers and Campers Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Daniel Earl Blackburn; brothers, Robert, Harry, Walter, Jack, James; sister, Hilda Boles; and son-in-law, Harold E. Wilson. Marie is survived by son, John Blackburn and wife Mary of Centerville, TN.; daughter, Gloria Wilson of Rogersville, TN.; brother, Douglas Keisling of Livingston, TN.; seven grandchildren, Mark Horton, Laura Evans, Susan Ryan and husband Tim, Kaitlin Blackburn, Corey Blackburn, Eddie Wilson, JoAnn Wilson Goodrich; two great grandchildren, Colin and Leah Ryan. The family will receive friends today, Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, at East Lawn Memorial Park.
