

Mrs. Necessary was born on October 13, 1940, the daughter of the late Henry Harrison & Rutha Mae Bowman. She attended the Beulah Baptist Church and was retired from J.P. Stevens Textiles as a weaver. She was preceded in death by a brother, Don Bowman, by a sister, Shirley Jean Neeley and by an infant son. Mrs. Necessary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed reading, playing games of chance, and mothering her precious dog “Buddy”.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Mr. Ralph P. Necessary; a daughter, Robin D. Martin and husband, Tim; a son, Jake Necessary and wife Sharon; sisters, Carolyn Bledsoe and Peggy Bishop; a brother, David Bowman; five grandchildren, Taylor Blake, Kinley and Cory Martin, Sarah and Katie Necessary and five great-grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews and cherished friends also survive.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the East Lawn Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Al South officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Mausoleum of East Lawn Memorial Park.
