Betty Jean Thacker, age77, entered into rest December 19 , 2011 at her residence. She was born in Kingsport, after marrying and traveling the world, she returned to reside here in 1970. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harlie A. Thacker, her parents, Alonzo and Alice June Tolliver, two brothers, and one sister. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, June Addington, one son, James Franklin Thacker both of Kingsport, two grandchildren, Megan Addington of Kingsport, Lori Malone and her husband David of Nashville. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN.
