He was born in Kingsport Tennessee, a graduate of Lynnview high school, and retiree of the United States postal service.
He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church, but attended many more over the years. He will always be remembered as a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by two sons, Landon Craig Hammonds and Jason Kelly Hammonds, both of Kingsport, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at noon on March 24th 2025 at Eastlawn Cemetery. His celebration of life will be at 1:00pm, with graveside service to follow.
