She was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and worked for the Kingsport Press for 15 years. Billie’s hobbies included gardening and painting, but she especially enjoyed spending time with family and her grandchildren.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Grizzel; parents, Nora Lee and William Monroe Brewer; and her sisters, Lavada Laughlan and Fonsie Queener.
Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Donald Grizzel, Ron Grizzel and Rick Grizzel and girlfriend, Nancy Jean McClaughry; grandchildren, Kyle Joseph, Kristopher Logan, and Kurtis Andrew Grizzel; brother-in-law, Sidney Grizzel and wife Mary; sisters-in-law, Shirley Bishop, and Betty Browder, and husband Carrol.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 on Monday, September 17, 2018 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm in the chapel with Chaplin Ryan Wagoner officiating.
Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park in Christus Garden.
