Bobbie Edgar Starnes

Bobbie Edgar Starnes, 75, of Church Hill, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center in Kingsport. Born on April 28, 1939 in Scott County, VA, he was the son of Nannie Hill Starnes and the late Walker Wade Starnes. Mr. Starnes served in the United States Air Force. In addition to his father, Walker Wade Starnes, he was preceded in death by his three sisters; one brother; and his grandson, Steven Anthony Starnes. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ginger Starnes; son, Anthony “Tony” Starnes and his wife, Virginia “Ginny”; daughter, Kim Lynette Mickow; son, Michael Dean “Mick” Starnes and his wife, Regina; mother, Nannie Hill Starnes; grandchildren, Krysti Leigh Jayne, Michael Alan Starnes, Logan Michael Starnes and Megan Nicole Starnes; great-granddaughter, Madison Grace Starnes; sisters, Rose Fritz, Agnes Carter, Grace Ferguson and Judy Stallard; brothers, Bill Starnes and Charles Starnes; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, October 27, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City.
