Bonnie Jewell Galloway

A native of Kingsport, TN., Mrs. Galloway was born on August 1, 1916 the daughter of the late James and Josie Birdwell Allen. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great- great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Henry H. Galloway in 1980. Survivors include her children, Mr. Ray Galloway of Kingsport, Mr. James Galloway of Missouri, and Ms. Geree Harry of Butler, Tn. One sister, Mrs. Pansy Stremsterfer of Blountville. Twenty grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews also survive. A home going celebration of Mrs. Galloway’s life will be held on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
