Brenda belonged to the Sunnyside Baptist Church for 50 plus years, where she sang in the choir and fellowshipped with others in the Ladies Friendship Sunday Class. She loved her church family.
Brenda retired from Eastman Chemical Company in December 1998.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Vernon L Kimball. Brenda is survived by her three sons and their families; Vernon L Kimball, II(Kaye), Christopher C Kimball(Cassie), Gregory S Kimball(Sharon); her grandchildren, Gregory S Kimball, Jr, Taylor O Kimball(Nikki), Kara Nicole Kimball Coalson(Phillip), Chelsea C Kimball, Paige E Kimball, Caroline A Kimball Bruce (Xavier), and Dalton L Kimball; her step granddaughter, Chelsea Daugherty; great grandson, Noah Kimball; great granddaughter, Olivia Claire Kimball; her brother, Charles C Wells, Jr(Shirley); her sister, Sherry L Wells Hill(Ron); and many other extended family members and friends.
Brenda lived a life marked by love, humility, and deep faith. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for, whether you had known her for years or had just met her. She didn't just say she loved people-she showed it in the way she listened, encouraged, and quietly put others before herself.
The family will receive friends for Brenda on Wednesday, March 25th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home, located at 4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow, officiated by Dr. Bill Sims of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Graveside committal services will be held on Thursday, March 26th, 2026, at 3:00 PM at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Everlasting Life II.
