Carolyn Nervlou Porter

She was a lifelong resident of Rock Springs. She was a charter member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Porter, son, Gary Lynn Porter, her parents, Rev. Walter and Lucy Drinnon, two sisters, Faye Warner, Debra Ensor, two brothers, Wayne Drinnon and Timothy Drinnon. She is survived by one daughter Lisa and husband James Richards, two sons, John Wendell Porter , Greg and wife Ginger Porter all of Kingsport, four grandchildren, Ashley Porter, Emily and husband Cory Lane, Aaron Richards, and Jared Porter all of Kingsport, two great grandchildren, Chloe’ Stewart, Trentyn Lane all of Kingsport, three brothers and sisters in law, Rev. Neal and Ruth Drinnon, Curtis and Rita Drinnon, Billy Drinnon all of Church Hill, two sisters and brother in law, Marie and Lewis Gatewood of Surgoinsville, Tn., Angela and Charlie Hicks of Kingsport, several nieces and nephews. The family would like to specially thank Hospice, Shawna, Shamrock, and Ruby. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home with funeral services being held at 8:00 p.m. East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ed Dillowe officiating.
