Charlotte Jean Baker, age 75 of Blountville, entered into the glories of Heaven during the morning hours of Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Charlotte was born on May 4, 1942 in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada to the late Herb and Emily Noseworthy. On December 25, 1979 Charlotte married Jasper George “JB” Baker and after 37 years of a beautiful life together and making a lifetime full of memories, he preceded her in death on August 7, 2017.
Charlotte will be remembered for the love that she had for her family. She was a lady with a beautiful soul and the love that she had for her family and friends will continue on in their lives. One of Charlotte’s favorite things to do was knitting and sewing. With her loving hands, she delicately knitted each thread with compassion and care. In the same way, she sewed strands of love into the life of her family and friends; each thread stitched with a love that can never be frayed or torn.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Jasper George “JB” Baker; and brother-in-law, Leo Otoole. Left to carry on her loving legacy are her children, Warren Cable and wife Patti, Debra Favila and husband Joe David, and Angela Brantley and husband Charles; step-daughter, Layne Baker Bailey, and step-twin sons, Lance and Vance Baker; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; her Newfoundland family; brother, David Noseworthy and wife Margo; sister, Alma Otoole; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Living Word Church of God (146 Cherry Street, Gray, TN 37615). Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Steve Guinn officiating. Interment services will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Everlasting Life III. Severing as pallbearers will be Adrain Burns, Aidan Burns, Shawn Cable, Matt Allison, Ashton Marcum, and Jason Baker.
