

Clarence H. “Willie” Williams, age 87 of Kingsport, entered into eternal rest during the morning hours of Thursday, December 29, 2016. Willie was born on July 29, 1929 to the late Daniel Williams and the late Grace Addington Williams in Scott County, VA. On June 11, 1946, Willie married the love of his life, Ms. Mary Wexler, and after 60 years together and raising a family, she preceded him in death on December 30, 2006.
Willie worked as a carpenter / foreman for Little & Adams for 40 plus years, and he loved working with his hands and building different projects. He found solace in restoring Model A Fords and other vehicles. Willie loved his family and he cherished them with all of his heart.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Wexler Williams; and infant daughter, Brenda. Willie is survived by his two sons, C. Holden Williams Jr. and wife Donna, and Don Krell and wife Renee; daughter, Shirley Hawkins and husband Ross; brother, Daniel Edward Williams and wife Joan; six grandchildren, Robert Goddard and wife Anita, Joseph Goddard and wife Bobbie, Tyler Williams and wife Beth, Breanne Jones and husband Caleb, Nathan Krell, and Adrienne Tucker; and three great-grandchildren, Charles Ross Goddard, Thomas Goddard, and Anna Jane Goddard.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor Tony Bleckley officiating. Interment will follow at 12:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Everlasting Life III with family members serving as pallbearers.
