Daniel Bayse

He was born May 24, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Luther Duke Bayse and Pearl Smithwick. Dan never met a stranger. With his boisterous personality, he could start a conversation with anyone as if he had known them for years.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his dearest wife of 48 years, Ann Bayse, whom he now joins. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, David.

He is survived by his sons, David Bayse and Cheyne Bayse and his daughter, Misty Blevins. Dan’s legacy will live on through his five grandchildren, who brought him immense joy, Zoe Bayse, Jack Blevins, Alex Blevins, Eleanor Blevins, and Amelia Blevins.

Dan will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664, followed by a graveside memorial service in East Lawn Memorial Park's Garden of the Good Shepherd.
