David Edward Miller, 82, of Blountville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at his home. He was born on November 6, 1943, the son of the late John and Frances Latture Miller. David honorably dedicated himself to the service of his country as a member of the esteemed 101st Airborne Division in the US Army. His profound love for America was evident in all aspects of his life, and he found strength in his steadfast Methodist faith. He cherished the moments spent on the farm, where the simple pleasures of working the fields brought him immense joy and fulfillment. As a devoted husband and father, David created lasting memories, leaving behind a legacy as a wonderful dad whose warmth and guidance will always be treasured by his family.
David was preceded in death by his late wife Doris Skelton Miller; brothers Ryland and Robert Miller; and sister Louise Mann.
Left to remember David’s love and compassion are his brothers Charles Miller (Brenda), John Miller (Linda), Howard Miller (Debbie), and Carl Miller; stepdaughters, Sandra Benton (Phillip) and Sherry Chee (Lester); son Terry Gibson (Heather); along with several grand and great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 3:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park, in the Garden of Good Shepherd.
