
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army, then in the Tennessee Army National Guard, all together retiring with 24 years of service. He attended Lynn Garden Baptist Church. Donald retired from Holston Defense after thirty–four years of dedicated service as an Engineer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Mutter; granddaughter, Rosie Mutter; brothers, Ronnie, Mickey and Reggie Mutter.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Rosemary Mutter; children, Suzanne Neale, Tom Mutter and Nathan Mutter (Vickie); grandchildren, Jessica Neale, Donnie Neale, Frank Mutter, (Meredith), Tyler Mutter and Natalie Mutter; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Brown (Harry); brothers Mitchell Mutter (Carol) and Tim Mutter (Jane); along with several nieces and nephews.
The Mutter family will honor Donald’s life with a private Graveside Service in the Garden of Memories in East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Meade officiating.
