Dorothy Maynard McRea

Dorothy Maynard McRea, 85, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Brookhaven Manor. Mrs. McRea was born on January 16, 1930 in Pikeville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Troy and Lurlie Howard Maynard. She was a housewife and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lee McRea on February 29, 1984; and one brother, Curtis Maynard. Survivors include her three daughters, Judy Salyer and husband Billy, of Kingsport, TN, Sherry Martin, of Church Hill, TN and Teresa Fox, of Thomasville, NC; four grandchildren, Robin Martin Stewart, Shawn Salyer and wife Pamela, Brandon Fox and wife Ashley and Casey Fox; three great grandchildren, Logan Martin, Nicholas Salyer and Bethany Salyer; one great-great grandson, Jeremy Martin; and one brother, Teddy Maynard. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside Services for Mrs. Dorothy Maynard McRea will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Garden of Everlasting Life III at East Lawn Memorial Park.
