Earl D. "Bud" Waterman Jr.

Earl D, “Bud” Waterman, age 74, entered into rest September 9, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Sullivan County, his parents were the late Earl David and Sudie Barger Waterman. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. He was a farmer and an avid horse trader. Bud never met a stranger and enjoyed swapping tales.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Linda C. Waterman of Kingsport; one son, Scott Waterman of Hilton, VA; two daughters, Nora “Punkin” Kincer and husband Jack of Surgoinsville, Velvet Lace Tipton of Fall Branch; four grandchildren, Jonathan Waterman, Hannah Waterman, Morgan Harless and Becky Tipton. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 14th from 12 until 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bryan Thurman officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
