Edward Wayne Reed

Edward Wayne Reed, 60, passed away on Tuesday (November 21, 2017) following an extended illness. Ed was born on January 2, 1957 in Kingsport, TN to the late Ervin Winford & Mary Katherine (Fleenor) Reed.

Ed was a great “handy-man” that enjoyed watching wrestling, Nascar, and spending time with family and friends. Ed was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend; he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Allen Reed; and brother, Kenneth Reed.

Left to cherish his memories are his fiancé, Dana Dyer; son, Elijah Reed; daughter, Shanta Jackson; sister, Maxine Wallen; two grandchildren; life-long friend, Stewart Millen; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday (November 27, 2017) from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tommy Haynes officiating.

Ed will be laid to rest beside of his loving wife, Marlene on Monday (November 27, 2017) at 3:00 p.m. in the Christus Garden at East Lawn Memorial Park.
