

Born in Sullivan County, a daughter of the late John Powell Wolford and Aura Lee Wolford, she was a lifelong resident of Blountville. Ruth was also preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Sue Baker, and Dorothy Ross, and a granddaughter, Lauren Good. Ruth was a devoted member of Cassidy United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. She was a loving homemaker, who had a deep appreciation and love for all of God’s creation.
Survivors include her husband, Dail Rodgers of Blountville, four daughters, Pasty Ford and husband Jerry of Blountville, Peggy Lester and husband Gene of Blountville, Margaret Moore and husband Jack of Raleigh, N.C., Rebecca Good and husband Danny of Blountville, nine grandchildren, Dail Blalock, Elizabeth Graham, Susan Arnold, Stephanie Stewart, Scott Swift, Steven Swift, Whitney Poe, Brad Good, sixteen great- grandchildren, one brother, Sonny Wolford and wife Ann of Blountville, one sister, Mary Lou Smith of Blountville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday (today) at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Cassidy United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Roller Cemetery.
