

Estelle was born in St. Paul, Virginia to Lawrence and Lena Warf and then she continued to reside there with her loving grandparents Andy and Hannah Warf. She graduated from St. Paul High School where she lettered in basketball, sang in the choir and was loved by her classmates and teachers alike.
Estelle spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for her family however, she did work outside of the home notably at the St. Paul Hotel, Roses and as the best biscuit maker at Greenwood Market. She loved her years volunteering at Holston Valley Medical Center and making quilts for newborns. She is fondly remembered for her generosity and caring to the neighborhood children both in her Virginia and Tennessee communities.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Gold Austin and two daughters, Betty Austin (St. Paul, VA) and Nancy Austin Osborne (Weber City, VA) as well as her parents.
Estelle is survived by her son Tommy (Sonny) Gold Austin, Jr. and his wife Frances (Button) Austin of Castlewood, VA. She is also survived by her daughter Katie Austin Dinger and her husband Steve Dinger of Wytheville, Va. Her grandchildren include: Timothy Gold Austin, Cindy Austin McAvoy, Jennifer Billings, Ted Ring, Jesse Dinger, Andrew Dinger and a host of great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren spanning five generations.
She is a member of Cassidy United Methodist Church and appreciated the love and outreach of the ministry for shut-ins and her Sunday School class.
The family will hold a graveside service on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA. With Pastor Tom Hancock officiating. A reception and visiting of friends will follow at Copper Creek/Moccasin Volunteer Fire Department.
