Ann earned a certificate and became a Licensed Practical Nurse, serving others with compassion and dedication for more than 50 years. Even after retirement, she continued caring for friends and neighbors—driving them to appointments, checking in regularly, and ensuring no one felt forgotten. Her kindness and generosity made her deeply loved by all who knew her.
Ann was married to James Lee Lewis and together they built a loving family. To her family, she was “Nana,” a name that reflected the warmth, love, and steady presence she shared across generations.
Her heart was rooted in the people and places she cherished most: her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild; her church family at Orebank Central Baptist Church; and the neighbors and friends with whom she shared life. She also loved dogs and the simple companionship they brought.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Charles W Rogers; her mother, Irene Green; her beloved husband, James Lee Lewis; and her sister, Carolyn Stark. She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Harless (Charlie), Anita Trammell (John), and Marsha Cole (Sam); her grandchildren, Clint Cole, Kayleigh Cole, and Haylee Trammell; her great grandchild, Paisley Cole; her sisters-in-law, Wanda Pate and Eileen Blevins; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
