She was born April 9, 1932, in Castlewood, Virginia to the late Wiley and Nonive Kiser. June loved going to town to shop and cook for her family. Above all, she was devout in her Christian faith, loved the Lord, and was very active in her church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Light, Sr.; her sons, Fred Light, Jr. and Jimmy Light, grandson Konner Bloomquist, a brother, and three sisters.
June is survived by her three grandchildren, Courtney Nelson and husband Tyler, Audria Light, and Alex Light; her brother, Wiley “Buddy” Kiser, Jr.; sister, Patsy Herndon; four great-grandchildren, Hadley Nelson, Luke Nelson, Ariah Light, and Kaitlyn Wiederhoeft. June is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-great-grandchildren.
All services were held privately.
