Florence Elizabeth Taylor

Florence Elizabeth “Flo” Taylor, age 87, entered into rest April 30, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center. She was born in Kingsport, to the late William M. and Della L. Barker Rachel; she was a lifelong resident of the area. Flo was a homemaker and attended New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed camping, visiting with her friends, and life in general. Her favorite pastime was traveling with her husband, and listening to the music he performed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years Edwin Taylor. She is survived by her son, Gary Taylor of Kingsport, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Richard Wills officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
