

Robert “ Frank” Franklin McKamey, 97, entered into rest June 10, 2011. He had lived his entire life in Kingsport, Tn., and was a Tennessee Eastman retiree. In addition to his mother and father, his two brothers and three sisters, he was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Evans, and granddaughters Michelle Renee and Kimberly Dawn McKamey. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 74 years Pansy Shipley McKamey, son Mike and his wife Linda Elkins McKamey, son in law Ed Evans, grandchildren Jacquie Evans McKinney, Todd Evans, Chad McKamey, Keri McKamey, great grandchildren Brandon McKinney, Lauren McKinney and Hunter McKamey. Frank’s life was a perfect example of an extraordinary good Husband, Dad, Grand Dad, and Great Grand Dad. His recent wishes to be with his daughter in heaven have now been fulfilled.
Frank’s life will be celebrated with a Lightin’Charlie tribute for family, friends, and residents at 2:00 p.m. on June 17th at the Colonial Hill Retirement Center in Johnson City. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the National Health Foundation, Colonial Hill Retirement Center, 3207 Bristol Hwy., Johnson City, Tn. 37601.
