

Mrs. Thomas was born on May 6, 1931 in Scott County, VA, the daughter of the late Arvil Denver and Virgie Turner Pullon. Mrs. Thomas and as she was affectionately known as Mamaw Fredna, was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Indian Springs Baptist Church and the Indian Springs F.C.E. Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Kenneth H. Thomas in 2007 and by brothers Ed, Bill, Bob, Adrian, James, and Dan Pullon and sister, Louise Gardener.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Anita K. and Scott Smith. One son, James “Jim” Thomas. One brother, Andrew Pullon. Three sisters, Nina Bright, Emma Pullon, and Margaret Pullon. Grandchildren; Brandon Thomas, Brent (Meghan) Thomas, Amber (Dave) Jackson, Kierra Thomas. Great-grandchildren; Deyton and Daylin Jackson. A number of nieces and nephews along with former daughter-in-law and care givers, Kathy and Greg Jones and very special family friends, Kelcie and Mary Houseright and Kelly Houseright.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday June 9, 2013 at 8 p.m. from the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow on Monday at 2 p.m. from the graveside at East Lawn Memorial Park in the garden of Christus with Rev. Clint Andrews officiating.. Those desiring to attend burial services should assemble at the graveside at 1:45 p.m. on Monday.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and they include; Brandon and Brent Thomas, Kelly Houseright, Brian Campbell, Matt McCaulley and Brandon Hale.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Indian Springs Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
