George was an avid sports fan. He followed football, baseball and basketball. He was very passionate about his political beliefs. He believed in democracy, equal rights, fairness and working together for change. He would often say “You have to stand for something. Be proud of who you are, what you stand for or believe in, and never change for anyone.”
When George wasn’t watching sports or politics, he enjoyed westerns, old horror films and classic movies. His favorite pastime of all was being with his friends and family. He loved dearly and cherished all the family gatherings with his extended family the Youngman’s of Port Orange, Florida; and the Bevilacqua’s (residing in Florida and Pennsylvania). Although his soul now lies with the Lord, the memories and love in our hearts remain.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his son, Johnny McCurry; brothers, John and Bobby; and sister, Vivian.
