

Mrs. Georgia Ellen McLain, age 90 of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at the Wexford House. A native of Russell County, VA, Mrs. McLain was born on January 31, 1923 the daughter of the late Henry Jefferson Kelley and Sarah Bertha Osborne Kelley. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker and was preceded in death by her brothers; Harry, Rader, Dexter, Joe and Frank Kelley and by her sisters; Virginia Greene, Pauline Minton, and Frances Kelley. She was a member of the Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church and was married to Robert E. McLain who preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include her daughters, Mina (Wayne) Stanley of Kingsport, Barbara McLain (Troy) Davidson of Florida, and step-daughter, Pat (Lee) Hatchell of Indiania. One brother, Mr. Gene Kelley. Grandchildren, Sara (Dan) Wells, Sharon (Doug) Alley, Kelly (Don) Lewis, Sumer (Richard) Creasy, Robby Jones, Lance (Sandy) Jones, Lori (Doug) Woodward. Seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. McLain will be conducted on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the graveside of the Oak Hill Memorial Park with Chaplain Mike Pelham officiating. Those desiring to attend services for Mrs. McLain should assemble on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. at the Oak Hill Memorial Park.
