Gladys Hileman Talbert

Gladys “Mammaw” Talbert, age 92, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a native of St. Paul, Virginia and the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Elizabeth Hileman. Mrs. Talbert Was a member of the First Assembly of God. She was a dedicated Sunday school teacher and prayer warrior. Mrs. Talbert loved to paint and to arrange flowers.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Talbert, a grandson Frankie Stimetz and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include daughters: Emma Talbert and Shirley Moore, sons: Cleve Edward and Woodrow Wilson, Jr., Seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, Sister: Gracie Mabry and brother, Bill Hileman.

A Celebration of Life service for Gladys “Mammaw” Talbert will be conducted on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 12 noon in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the service hour. Pallbearers will be selected from her

family.
