Glenn Gibson

Glenn Gibson, age 93 of Kingsport, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Glenn was born to the late Roy Ervin & Nelle Charlotte (Bowen) Gibson on August 20, 1922 in Rogersville,TN. Glenn married Evelyn Gibson and after 50 years of marriage, she preceded him in death in 1996. Glenn unselfishly served our country during WWII. He was a member of the local VFW and Eagles Club. In addition to his parents and loving wife, Glenn was preceded in death by his brother, Roy E. Gibson, Jr. Glenn is survived by his two sons, Glenn D. “Butch” Gibson & wife Barbara and Gary L. Gibson & wife Dawn; two daughters, Judy Sports & husband James and Jackie Montgomery & husband Jerry; four grandchildren, Michelle Carter, Amanda Payne & husband Jason, Carter Gibson, and Fletcher Gibson; two great-grandchildren, Jayleigh and Brooklyn Payne; brother, Jack L. Gibson; special friend, Betty Creasey; and a host of friends. Committal services will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Good Shepherd of East Lawn Memorial Park.
