Harold Eugene Manis

Harold was born November 2, 1936, in Blountville, Tennessee to the late James Clifford and Dorothy Arnold Manis. Harold was employed with the Sullivan County Board of Education and retired after 25 years. Harold was devout in his faith, and he and Linda were longtime members of Mountain View Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Whitaker, Helen Thacker, and a brother, J.C. Manis, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Manis; brother, Dan (Sara) Manis; sister, Vinette (Dennis) Christian; special friend and neighbor, Mike Griffin; “redheaded stepchild,” Crissie Ray. Harold is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service for Harold will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Tony Hoss and Preacher Michael Stevens officiating. Interment in East Lawn Memorial Park’s Garden of the Well will be private.
