I first met Aunt Hazel when my then finacnee, now wife Sandra was taking me around to meet family in 1977. I was very impressed that Aunt Hazel lived right next door to her church and was active in it. I have also never forgotten the HUGE squash she had grown that year in her garden. I have never before or since seen a bigger squash! I started to think of her as my aunt, too, after that. She was a great, Christian lady! I also pray for God's blessings upon all of our family and friends who mourn Aunt Hazel's temporary loss yet look forward to seeing her in the eternal Kingdom of Jesus Christ, our Lord, the Son of God and Aunt Hazel's and our Lord and Savior!

Hazel's love for God, for the Word and for people was so evident all through her life. It is hard to believe that entire generation has passed but her joy can be seen in the nieces and nephews. So glad I grew up in the middle of her ministry.

I grew up at Walnut Hill Church with Hazel as a teacher, as an example of Godly living and as s friend. She will live on through the influence of others and will continue to be a blessing. While she will be missed, her life has enriched countless others and we are so grateful to God that her life touched ours in such a positive way.
